Code of Conduct

While on The Creaking MC, we expect players to engage in good behavior. Those who fail to do so may be met with punitive actions such as mutes and temporary or permament bans.

Minors Prohibited

To ensure the safety of minors and to comply with various national and provincial/state laws, those under 18 (or the age of majority in their jusrisdiction if different) are not permitted to play on the server.

We do not require age verification, but if we have reason to believe a player is a minor they will be removed from the server.

Griefing

This is not an anarchy server. All forms of griefing are prohibited. This includes PvPing without permission, destroying property and other forms of vandalism, intentionally killing a player's mobs, and stealing items.

Because some players will choose to break this rule, we have logging software in place that records all in-game player actions and can automatically revert them. If a grief occurs, the perpetrator can be identified and banned and their actions immediately undone.

Cheating and Exploits

All forms of cheating are prohibited. This includes X-raying, item duplication (with exceptions, see below), client hacks such as forecefield, etc.

Because this is a technical server and we rely on some glitches/exploits, our definition for what constitutes cheating is quite strict and many glitches and mods are allowed. The following are expressly allowed:

• Sand/gravity block duplication. We allow this because in the current version of the game, sand is non-renewable. It would be very silly to allow sand duping but not concrete powder or gravel, so we permit the duping of all of them.
• Due to their prevalence, we allow string and carpet dupers.
• The freecam mod, within reason. You may use the freecam mod to locate caves and structures, troubleshoot your farms, and navigate the world. However, you may not abuse it to do things like loot chests from complete safety when they would ordinarily be dangerous such as in a piglin bastion.
• All mods contained within the server's official modpack are allowed. In general, mods that do not grant the player a substantial unfair advantage are permitted. If you are unsure, feel free to ask.

Political Content

Keep political content and discussions of current events off the server. In the immortal words of Professor Oak, "There's a time and place for everything, but not now!"
